To see if your scan is 1,000,000 pixels, multiply the height and width of the image. However, you're not allowed to put borders around the image to make it fit that restriction; also, you're not allowed to stretch it to make it fit. You can usually tell if an image is enlarged, because usually it'd be blurry and pixelated.
